Mane Mania

The struggle to keep my hair on top of my head has been a struggle for me since years. Poor strands of loose keratin that have been subjected to a lot of shearing and thermal abuses because of the love associations I have been subjected to.

As long as I distinctively remember, I tried as much to save and grow them, much in line with the compound interest formula principle. I could save on them till my graduation college luckily. But luck did not last till my post-graduation days of my Business Management. My boy friend then got them chopped off to my waist, a stark difference from hips...

But the new look and new boy friend, I was in love with both of them. And indeed the hairdo made me look pretty. It was a pretty even front layer, with bangs ascending from my curve of the face till my waist.

Later on few girls from my batch went for the same cut. That confirmed that I looked too good in them.

Later on I got married, and my husband turned out to be more experimental in comparison to my shearing boy friend in college.

My husband got me go through the rigorous task of getting my hair tightly curled. The potion that is used to perm was stinking and it took whole 4 hours for them to set. Thankfully, the effect was wonderful, again.

But the effect started wearing down soon. So, I had no other choice but to get them permed again. But this time, it was my own choice to go through the grind.

The tighter curls lasted for 6 months, then went in the another round of solid damage.

Sadly, this time it was permanent. My hair lost their lustre, strength and colour.
Thankfully, Deepti from Nalini, of Nalini and Yasmin came to my rescue. She cropped them super short. So, now I visit her once in a year to get my mane clipped in style. I really owe a lot to her.

And now it is Pantene, thank god for the repeated and repeated telecast of the advertisement by Shilpa Shetty claiming that she is in whole awe of the shampoo.
Well she must have been hugely to claim that, but I can shout it out any day that Pantene is THE shampoo. My hair fall has reduced to 2% of what it used to be. The bathroom floor, my clothes and all my house used to be full of my weak strands.

Thanks Pantene and thanks Deepti, I am a much happy person now.
