Impending fears

Her eyes wandered. Wandered in no particular direction. She saw a girl in her school uniform cycling at a speed that suggested that her cycle was fed with a motor. Motor that normally causes the light weight bikes like mopeds to propel at a speed higher than a bi-cycle. But here the girl was at that motored speed. She wondered whether her cycle should be named a motored bicycle, a motor cycle or just a bi-cycle.

Just when she was thinking about naming her cycle, she discovered that in fact the girl was holding on to a woman's hand, and the woman happened to be a pillion driver on a scooter; the driver being a middle aged old man. Then she understood that the cycle and the girl, both were being drifted at a fast speed only because they were being held on to a vehicle that was moving faster then them.

Suddenly the scene made her think and connect a similarity about her own life. She too was pacing at a speed that was not akin to her. She was also being dragged by a vehicle that was propelling faster than her. All that she did was held on to it with all her might. For the first time in her life she gave a thought to what if scenario. What if the pacing vehicle broke down, what if her hand just lost that part of the vehicle that she as clinging to all this while, what if the vehicle just stopped moving all of a sudden with a big jerk.Jerking her and all her body; may be even causing her body parts to jerk in parts, all spread in different directions while being disconnected with each other.

She just could not find the answers to all her impending questions that showed no sign of ceasing in her mind.
But then it struck to her that if she assumes that those couple on the scooter happened to be the relative or say parents of the cycling girl, would they have not thought about all those dangers that could anytime lurk on the girl, and if they are indeed related, then eventually on them as well.

Finally she came to an understanding, we all take risks dispelling our fears for some time.
