Interacting with the (M)Ad man

Today I am more concerned on asking why no amount of raunchiness or sex-appeal is able to pull up the condom sales, but it is successful for everything else including toiletries, coffee, soft drinks as well as incense sticks.

All thanks to my friend Tushar, because of whom I could meet and ask the man Prahlad Kakkar himself. Known as the big daddy of the advertising sphere in India, the man who started it all.

Really was surprised to see him in clad in a "lungi". A punjabi wearing a lungi. It was lovely interacting with him along with some great tasting khasta kachoris and a cup of coffee.

At the time of open discussion, it was an exclamation on my face to watch a young school girl ask a question, the same one that I asked Mahesh Bhatt probably 8 years back.

The word "Morality" itself is so heavy-weighted, that who so ever even hints to it automatically sounds one notch higher than everyone else around.

What a change in the past few years, the whole outlook changes towards the questioning. Apart from all this, what was indeed worth noting was the interactivity that he displayed with the audience.

My whole schedule was already chalked out. I had to have smoked salmon after the talk show. I had even made smoky eyes on me so as to rhyme with the fish. So, then I made full use of the time I had before my eating spree had to start. I did not spare any moment of not interacting with him, so that I am not left with any sort of regret in my heart later.

So, I was talking with him, and while doing that I could notice his rarely visible skin, since all is mostly covered with hair. The way he was impromptu while speaking, I also noticed a similarity to Professor Iyer.

His barely visible face also made me think about his wife, Mitali. I recall the sober face in the Indian advertisements during the time I was in pre-school or that was the time I had just started going to school. I recall some shampoo brand, if I am not wrong, it was Sunny Arnica shampoo and one of the condom advertisement. So, isn't it that the things are brought back to the same point..haha
