Cases of Lost and Found

I tried looking for it in extreme desperation. The honks of my husband's car synced with my hands running really fast to search for that small finger ring. I searched for a full minute, but could not find it under my pillow where I had kept it before taking a shower. It was not that it was very expensive; it is just that it was very unique. Of course, it was shaped in the form of a turtle in 92.5% sterling silver. I came out of the house and dragged myself into the car and told him about the latest lost jewelry piece of mine. He did not react much. He actually did not have an option, considering the number of times when I have lost precious or semi-precious jewelry. Though the ones that I lost previously where not the ones that I miss so much, as the one today. Though when compared to the price of the metal concerned, the ones lost before this one were from 22 karat gold, but still I did not miss losing them. Not really because I am rich, but because I simply do not care much on the spilled milk. Also, the ones that i had lost were from the established retail brands of jewelry makers. So, I always knew that I can always go to them and ask them to get the design remade, even if I did not carry the picture of it. That is the real convenience of shopping from an established brand. They keep all the stock of all the products they have crafted, displayed and sold in their entire life-time of existence in the trade. The last time I remember losing one was of my slender gold chain with a pretty bunny pendant. I had taken it out the time I was getting a facial at a salon. I had carefully wrapped both of them in a tissue. That was really caring of me towards the pieces of ornament. But what after that, I had simply thrown that tissue along with its contents into a dustbin!!! That was so damn careless of me, in fact being absent minded is the apt technical term.
The one before that was of losing one of the pair of diamond earring, which was a craft from my favourite Nirvana. I just love them. They are the ones where I normally shop my diamonds, whenever I occasionally do. It is hard to believe that I lost that one in my own house. Not that someone must have flicked it, but I only must have been careless about it. I then gifted the other half of it to my mom. She would have used it as a nose stud, I am sure. I recently did cover up for that mistake of mine and ended up buying the pair again from them. And the time of buying I realised how the inflation graph for bullion keeps on rising. This time it was 3 times the price, as compared to when I first had set my eyes on those pretty drop shaped earrings. They are so pretty. Small and fabulous, just like me. LOL.

OK, so this was my tale of losing big ticket jewelry. And moving on to the tale of not so expensive ones, well they are many. Let me begin with the latest one. Sorry, the latest one is not the one that happened this morning, I luckily found it under the wraps of my pillow cover, indeed lucky me. It was my friend's wedding and I had carried the dressy artificial jewelry sets matching to my each outfit. I really do not know how come I could not find amongst them when I came home and unpacked my bags. I really do not know. Luckily the entire set of 8 pieces was priced for just two grand. That comes out to even lesser than what nothing, hahha. And not to forget, each set included a big sized pendant along with a chain plus an earring pair. I really love the artificial ones, they not just match with your outfits but also you are never scared to wear them off carelessly. I just love that. Beads and artificial jewelry is my favourite favourite, hope the high-end jewelry exporter hears nothing about this. SSHHHH
